    Our client, a leading marine MNC specializing in transportation services, is currently seeking a Group Accounting and Finance Assistant (Vessel Accounting) to join their team!

    The Assistant, Group Accounting and Finance, is responsible for the daily accounting functions (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/General Ledger) of the company. Additionally, he/she ensures that key accounting activities are executed accurately and on time, contributing to the organisation’s operational success. The Assistant directly collaborates within the Group Accounting and Finance department to ensure that accounting functions are performed in a timely and accurate manner.

    【Responsibilities】
    - Perform daily, routine tasks under close supervision
    - Handle Accounts Payable (AP): Update cashbook, check vouchers, prepare payments, liaise with banks and internal PICs
    - Handle Accounts Receivable (AR): Update remittance reports, match AR vouchers, follow up on incoming funds, and prepare ageing reports
    - Handle General Ledger (GL): Prepare and check vouchers, perform open item matching, prepare balance sheet schedules, and support month-end closing.
    - Prepare and reconcile financial transactions according to accounting standards
    - Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with established processes
    - Handle high volume transactions
    - Work closely with other department colleagues to ensure timely submission for payment and closing deadlines.
    - Work with external financial auditors to provide required documentation, explanations, and support to ensure smooth and timely completion of external audits
    - Work with financial institutions to provide required documentation for smooth remittance of funds and smooth operations.

Qualifications

    【Requirements & Preferences】
    (Must)
    - Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
    - Inexperienced candidates with a Diploma/Degree in Accounting with a strong interest in ship management/vessel accounting, and stakeholder management are welcome to apply
    - Maximum 5 years of experience in vessel accounting/ship management accounting (AR functions, reporting, and month-end closing)
    - Able to communicate clearly and confidently, with a firm yet professional approach.
    - Fluent in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking counterparts
    - Willing to learn vessel accounting and maritime business operations.
    - Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
    - Looking for a stable, long-term role and career development within the company.
    - Willingness to take on a high volume of transactions and liaise with overseas offices
