    Our Client is a deep-sea freight transportation and shipping services.
    They are looking urgently for a Fleet Operations Executive/Manager.

    【Responsibilities - Main】
    1. Fleet & Commercial Operations
    - Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary liaison with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and vessel flag authorities to ensure all documentation and certifications are current.
    - Vessel Management: Coordinate with Singapore-based Ship Managers and technical teams to monitor vessel performance, maintenance schedules, and technical KPIs.
    - Commercial Support: Assist the Director in high-level negotiations with international Charterers and Brokers regarding vessel rentals, sales, and purchase agreements (S&P).
    - Project Research: Conduct market research and feasibility studies for new maritime projects and fleet expansion opportunities.

    Note: Candidates who may not be familiar with all aspects (for example, Finance) of the role will be provided with structured on-the-job training and guidance.

    2. Financial Oversight & Analysis
    - Budgetary Control: Review and analyze annual vessel budgets. Monitor actual expenditure against forecasts, providing detailed reports on budget deviations.
    - Disbursement Management: Oversee the issuance of funds to Ship Managers and manage project-related financial disbursements.
    - Treasury & Liquidity: Monitor cash flow for vessel accounts and prepare comprehensive liquidity reports for the group companies.
    - Audit & Compliance: Interface with bankers and financial auditors; prepare the Finance department’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational guidelines.

    3. Bilingual Stakeholder Management
    - Japanese HQ Liaison: Act as the lead interface for all Group Companies in Japan, facilitating reporting, strategic updates, and day-to-day communications in Native-level/Business Japanese.
    - Global Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc analytical reports for the Company’s principals and commercial interests in Japan.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【Requirements & Preferences】
    (Must)
    - Diploma/Degree in relevant field
    - Minimum 3 years of relevant fleet operations in the Maritime/Shipping industry (Candidates with more experience may be considered for the Manager role)
    - Strong understanding of vessel operations, chartering frameworks, and technical management coordination.
    - Strong track record in building and maintaining relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders.

    (Advantageous)
    - Proven experience in financial oversight & analysis, such as budget control, financial reporting, and cash-flow monitoring.
    - Experience working in Japanese company
