This role will focus on researching new technologies relevant to the group’s business and identifying, evaluating, and developing new business opportunities to support expansion across Southeast Asia — including projects of both Japanese and local origin.Reporting to: Regional Manager, APAC【Responsibilities】 - Collaborate with the regional Business Innovation team in Southeast Asia to support the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and goals for new business initiatives (including related projects from SVVL and spinout companies).- Lead or assist in the execution of new business activities from headquarters, including evaluating market potential and formulating appropriate market-entry strategies.- Play an active and hands-on role in establishing new businesses, including identifying suitable ecosystem partners, potential clients, and human resource needs.- Develop and execute strategies for launching locally originated business initiatives.- Work closely with internal teams such as the Construction-Tech Lab Singapore and Technology Research Institute to identify and support opportunities for commercializing new technologies.- Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders across Asia, Japan, and the United States.- Build and strengthen partnerships with key ecosystem players such as government agencies, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and industry organizations.- Stay abreast of business innovation trends, including emerging technologies, startups, and advancements within the construction sector, and evaluate opportunities for sustainable growth.- Contribute to venture investment evaluations, including developing and updating investment theses for the region.- Ensure adherence to the administrative guidelines and innovation framework of the Business Innovation Division, while developing localized practices based on project experiences.- Share reports, documents, and project outputs with the HQ Business Innovation Division using approved platforms (e.g. BOX or equivalent).- Monitor market developments and provide technical insights and recommendations to support sales and marketing efforts.- Initiate and support business development projects, particularly in areas related to robotics, automation, and multi-industry applications.
