    Our client is a fast-growing Japanese digital marketing company specializing in organic, vertical, short-form UGC-style videos for branding and PR. They are currently seeking a General Manager (Japanese speaking) to lead the launch and operations of their new Singapore entity.

    This role reports directly to the CEO.

    【Responsibilities】

    1) Business Setup & Operations
    - Manage the establishment of the Singapore entity, including company registration and coordination with legal, accounting, and tax firms
    - Support recruitment efforts by liaising with recruitment platforms and hiring local staff
    - Set up the operational infrastructure (office space, internal tools, and workflows)
    - Oversee general administrative functions such as basic finance, reporting, and internal communications
    - Maintain close communication and alignment with the Japan HQ

    2) Marketing & Ad Operations
    - Supervise the planning, production, and advertising operations of short-form social media videos (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
    - Develop and execute marketing strategies, define KPIs, and implement PDCA cycles
    - Manage client relations including proposal presentations, project coordination, and performance reporting
    - Build and lead local creative teams and external production partners
    - Conduct market research and competitive analysis to localize services for the Singapore market
    - Propose and drive new initiatives aligned with local business opportunities

    3) Business Development & Sales
    - Lead direct sales efforts targeting both Singaporean and Japanese companies (approximately 90% of new clients)

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【Requirements & Preferences】

    (Must)
    - Diploma in any field
    - Minimum 3 years of working experience in advertising agencies or within D2C brands/retail sectors (e.g. cosmetics, wellness)
    - Proficiency in both English and Japanese (equivalent to JLPT N2) is required to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners in Japan
    - Experience in supervising or managing a team
    - Strong knowledge of the Singapore market, including consumer trends, digital marketing, and partnerships
    - Keen interest in working in a startup or venture environment, with the aspiration to grow into a General Manager or Director-level position

    (Advantageous)
    - Prior experience in a representative or director-level role is an advantage
