    Our client is seeking an Information Security Strategy & Governance Specialist (Japanese Speaking) to join their regional team in Singapore.
    This role works closely with the Japan headquarters and APAC subsidiaries to strengthen information security governance, align regional security policies with global standards, and support enterprise-wide security initiatives.

    The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security policy gaps and support the implementation and operation of group-wide security frameworks and platforms across the region.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Communicate with Japan HQ and regional stakeholders in business-level Japanese and English
    - Plan and develop information security strategies and initiatives based on business and risk requirements
    - Design, implement, and maintain ISMS frameworks and support ISO 27001 certification acquisition and ongoing operations
    - Conduct security gap analysis using frameworks such as NIST CSF and/or CIS Controls
    - Assess, manage, and respond to information security risks and incidents
    - Ensure compliance with information security regulations and data protection laws (e.g., Personal Information Protection Act, GDPR)
    - Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects involving IT, security, legal, and business teams
    - Plan, deliver, and evaluate security awareness and training programs for executives and operational staff
    - Support and advise on information security matters related to IT infrastructure, including network, cloud, and server environments
    - Apply and leverage professional information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Registered Information Security Specialist) in daily operations

Qualifications

    【 Requirements & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
    - At least 5 years of experience in information security planning and strategy development
    - Experience with ISMS (Information Security Management System) and/or ISO 27001 certification acquisition and operations
    - Hands-on experience with security risk assessment, risk management, and incident response
    - Experience conducting security gap analysis using frameworks such as NIST CSF and/or CIS Controls
    - Experience handling information security regulations and data protection laws (e.g., Personal Information Protection Act, GDPR)
    - Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders
    - Experience planning and delivering security awareness and training programs for executives and operational staff
    - Basic knowledge and operational experience with IT infrastructure (network, cloud, servers, etc.)
    - Proficiency in English and Japanese to effectively communicate with English and Japan-based stakeholders and regional teams (JLPT N1 or equivalent)
