Our client is the market leader in semiconductor test systems and equipment.The Strategic Supplier Manager – PCB is responsible for developing and executing the long-term supplier strategy for the company's Printed Circuit Board (PCB) supply base, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives and supply chain strategy.This role serves as the key strategic partner to critical PCB suppliers, driving supplier performance, commercial excellence, capacity planning, and supply resilience. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Commodity Management, R&D, Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations—the incumbent will strengthen supplier capabilities to support new product introductions (NPI), production ramp-ups, and future technology roadmaps.The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing cost, mitigating supply risks, fostering innovation, and building long-term partnerships that enhance the company's global supply chain competitiveness.【Responsibilities】Strategic Supplier Management- Develop and execute long-term supplier strategies for the PCB commodity, aligned with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and supply chain requirements.- Manage strategic supplier relationships throughout the entire supplier lifecycle, ensuring long-term collaboration and sustainable performance.- Identify opportunities to optimize the supplier base through innovation, dual sourcing, and continuous improvement initiatives.Commercial & Contract Management- Lead commercial negotiations and establish long-term contractual frameworks covering pricing models, capacity commitments, investment planning, risk allocation, and exit strategies.- Drive commercial initiatives that maximize long-term value while ensuring supply continuity and operational stability.Supplier Performance & Risk Management- Establish supplier governance frameworks and performance management processes.- Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, technology, capacity, and commercial metrics.- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, leading strategic corrective actions and escalation management where necessary.Capacity Planning & Supply Resilience- Collaborate with suppliers on long-term capacity planning and investment strategies to support business growth.- Develop material buffer strategies and supply continuity plans to enhance resilience and minimize supply disruptions.- Ensure supplier readiness to support changing business demands and production scalability.New Product Introduction (NPI) & Production Ramp-Up- Support successful New Product Introduction (NPI) by engaging suppliers early in technology, process, and capacity planning.- Drive supplier readiness for product ramp-ups through strategic planning and stabilization initiatives.- Partner closely with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless execution of new programs.Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with Commodity Management, R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to align supplier capabilities with future technology and business requirements.- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.Continuous Improvement & KPI Management- Champion supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost competitiveness, quality, and operational efficiency.- Monitor and report key supplier performance indicators, including:1. On-Time Delivery (OTD)2. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)3. Cost Stability4. Quality Performance5. Cost Reduction Initiatives- Develop and implement mitigation plans when performance targets are not achieved.
