Job Description
Our client is a Japanese trading company with a regional headquarters in Singapore, serving as the Asia hub of its global operations. They are currently seeking a Regional HR & General Affairs Executive to support expatriate-related HR functions and administrative operations across the Asia region.
【 Responsibilities 】
1. Regional HR Operations (70%)
- Handle requests from Headquarters and prepare/submit required documentation
- Manage and operate the expatriate leave management system (Unit4)
- Arrange meetings with the General Manager
- Coordinate with regional offices regarding expatriate assignments and repatriations
- Support regional approval processes and delegation of authority matters
- Respond to inquiries from expatriates in accordance with internal overseas assignment policies
- Coordinate expatriate personal income tax matters in collaboration with external advisors, including document collection and submission
2. Singapore HR & Corporate Services (30%)
- Support expatriates during onboarding and offboarding, including arranging serviced apartments
- Update and maintain the Asia expatriate handbook
- Manage golf club memberships and corporate hotel contracts
- Liaise with external organizations such as the Japanese Association and Chamber of Commerce
- Conduct office fixed asset stocktaking
- Perform ad-hoc duties under the instruction of the General Manager
Qualifications
Requirement
【 Requirement & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in HR and/or general affairs, preferably in Singapore or similar working environments
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) to liaise with Japan HQ
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn
(Advantageous)
- Experience in supporting expatriates
- Exposure to regional HR operations or coordination with overseas offices
- Familiarity with HR/ERP systems such as Unit4English Level
