  • Job Description

    Our client is a reputable Japanese treasury company that also provides shared services. They are seeking a Senior Executive / Executive to join their team.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Support senior team members in the end-to-end process of project and corporate financing for vessels, including:
    - Compiling and summarizing Request for Financing (RFP) proposals from financial institutions
    - Preparing and coordinating due diligence materials for lenders
    - Tracking conditions precedent and subsequent for loan drawdowns
    - Prepare presentations and reports to support internal decision-making, including submissions to senior management and the Board
    - Assist in executing hedging strategies to manage interest rate and foreign exchange risks
    - Support affiliate companies in monitoring financial covenants and secured credit facilities
    - Keep abreast of developments in ship financing and the shipping industry
    - Provide support for treasury-related activities, including participation in M&A due diligence and evaluation of investment opportunities
    - Undertake ad hoc duties and rotational tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【 Requirement & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business / Economics / Maritime Business / Real Estate Business / International Trade or equivalent
    - At least 2 years of relevant experience in any one of the following areas:
    (1) Ship finance or other asset-backed financing.
    (2) Corporate banking, loan portfolio management, loan agency, or loan documentation-related function in a bank.
    (3) Audit & Assurance, corporate finance or tax advisory experience in an audit firm.
    (4) Treasury/corporate finance function in a shipping/aviation/real estate/logistics/energy commodities company, or Japanese companies.
    (5) M&A experience in the area of financial due diligence.
    - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel

    (Preferences)
    - Experience in investment management or hedging
    - Exposure to M&A valuation
    - Ability to review and interpret legal contracts
    - Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal
