    Our client, a renowned Japanese restaurant, is seeking a Corporate Planning Manager (Japanese-speaking) to support business strategy, financial planning, and performance management. This role will work closely with Senior Management and the Japan Headquarters to deliver business insights, drive planning processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    1. Financial Planning & Performance Management
    - Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
    - Monitor and analyze monthly P&L performance
    - Conduct cost analysis and support profitability improvement initiatives
    - Perform cash flow analysis and periodic financial reviews

    2. Strategic Planning & Market Analysis
    - Develop annual business plans and drive strategic initiatives
    - Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and macroeconomic analysis
    - Provide insights on economic, political, and industry developments to support planning

    3. Reporting & Business Insights
    - Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals for management and Japan Headquarters
    - Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify performance gaps
    - Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making

    4. Stakeholder & Project Management
    - Liaise regularly with Japan Headquarters on financial performance, budgeting, reporting, and business planning matters
    - Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment and smooth execution
    - Support and manage cross-functional projects and initiatives
    - Ensure alignment between local operations and HQ strategies, guidelines, and expectations

    5. Business Improvement & Development
    - Propose new business initiatives, concepts, and process improvements
    - Support feasibility studies and business case development

    6. General Responsibilities
    - Provide ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and support for management requests
    - Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【 Requirement & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Diploma/Degree in Business or similar
    - At least 5 years of experience in business planning, corporate planning, or related fields
    - Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) in speaking, listening, and writing is essential for effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
    - Basic knowledge of accounting and finance (P&L, budgeting, cash flow)
    - Highly proficient and hands-on with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    - Able to commence work immediately or on short notice

    (Advantageous)
    - Experience working in a Japanese company
    - Experience in the F&B or retail industry
    - Experience in outlet/store operations
