Our client is a global company providing risk management and investigative services. They are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition and strengthen relationships with clients, primarily Japanese clients, while supporting the team with sales initiatives and market research.【 Responsibilities 】<Business Development>Business development, including both brand-building and direct sales activities, is the primary responsibility of this role. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to identify and target new client segments and work with global leadership to clearly communicate Kroll’s capabilities in supporting ASEAN-related business to existing Japanese clients. The candidate is expected to confidently operate as a fully bilingual professional, presenting Kroll’s services credibly, building a pipeline of projects, and supporting Japanese clients effectively.- Build and maintain strong relationships with legal firms, accounting firms, financial institutions, and trading companies to drive referral business.- Maintain a thorough understanding of market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activities.- Act as a client advocate by understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.- Manage client communications, prioritize leads, and maintain a robust sales pipeline.- Target and engage decision-makers within Japanese client organizations.- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the Japan Desk’s client base.- Strengthen business relationships with existing corporate contacts and networks.- Deliver service presentations and communicate the company’s value proposition to potential clients.- Collaborate internally to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities.- Support marketing initiatives, including localized materials and events, to drive revenue opportunities.<Investigative Work>This role requires the ability to handle a wide range of forensic investigation and intelligence projects. Responsibilities include client engagement, developing investigation methodologies, managing and directing internal and external resources, analysis, and reviewing/editing reports. All projects must be commercially viable, making the ability to understand and assess P/L critical. Teams are often international and cross-functional, so transparency and effective collaboration are essential.
