Our client is a Japanese Food Trading company specializing in the import of seafood. They are seeking a Purchasing Specialist (Food Trading, Japanese Speaking) to manage the full spectrum of purchasing tasks, ensuring seamless procurement operations.
In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Purchaser, Director, and Managing Director.
【 Responsibilities 】
- Handling purchase orders from Japan, China and Vietnam (frozen seafood, frozen foods).
- Coordination with Japan, China, Vietnam and various suppliers.
- Liaise with various departments on issues relating to purchasing, stocks, and shipments.
- Communicate and resolve operational matters with suppliers and internal colleagues.
- Demand forecasting and inventory management.
- Forecasting shipment schedules.

【 Requirement & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Diploma or higher qualification
- At least 2 years of experience as a purchaser at a food-related company
- Possess experience in forecast management or inventory management
- Demonstrated stable career history with a minimum of 2 years of continuous employment in the same organization.
- Proficiency in English and Japanese(JLPT N2) to effectively communicate with overseas suppliers and stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and general computer literacy
(Advantageous)
- Experience in procurement at a Japanese food-related company (preferably in frozen seafood, but not limited to)
- Experience in handling more about 1000 items as a purchaser
- Possess network in the seafood industry英語
