Job Description
Our client is a well-established M&E engineering contractor specialising in ACMV and integrated building services systems.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – ACMV/HVAC Systems to support large-scale construction and infrastructure projects in Singapore.
The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical engineering, technical coordination, site installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and control systems serving ACMV equipment.
【Responsibilities】
- Review and coordinate electrical requirements for ACMV systems and equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, ventilation fans, tunnel ventilation fans, dampers and associated motors.
- Review electrical single-line diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, control schematics, panel drawings and equipment electrical requirements.
- Perform or review cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, protection requirements, electrical loading and equipment selection relating to ACMV systems.
- Coordinate the design, procurement and installation of MCC panels, local control panels, distribution boards, isolators, motor starters and VSD/VFD panels.
- Review control philosophies, cause-and-effect matrices, I/O points, equipment interlocks and BMS/control interfaces.
- Coordinate ACMV electrical and control interfaces with BMS, electrical, fire alarm, ELV and other building services systems.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, technical submissions, RFIs and inspection requests.
- Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Supervise electrical installation works, including cabling, containment, control wiring, earthing, panel installation and equipment termination.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, material delivery, installation quality and site coordination matters.
- Plan, coordinate and support power turn-on, testing and commissioning activities.
- Conduct or witness insulation resistance, continuity, phase rotation, motor rotation, point-to-point, functional, interlock and integrated system testing.
- Support VSD/VFD parameter setting, motor testing, equipment start-up and system troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve technical issues involving electrical equipment, ACMV systems and BMS/control interfaces.
- Manage and monitor electrical subcontractors and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, supervisors and technicians.
- Ensure that all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable Singapore standards, safety requirements and quality procedures.
- Maintain proper testing records, inspection reports, as-built drawings, operation manuals and handover documentation.
-Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Electrical Manager.

(Must)
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in ACMV electrical, M&E construction or building services projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with ACMV equipment electrical requirements, motors, MCC panels, motor starters, VSD/VFD systems and control panels.
- Good knowledge of electrical single-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams and BMS/control interfaces.
- Practical site experience in installation supervision, technical coordination, testing and commissioning.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills involving ACMV electrical and control systems.
- Ability to prepare and review technical documentation, submissions and commissioning records.English Level
