• Job Description

  Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial components and solutions for Factory Automation, Press Die and Plastic Mold, Electrical & Wiring Parts, Tools, and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) products.
  
  They are currently seeking the Assistant Manager, Digital Transformation & Business Applications serves as the Company's internal digital transformation partner.
  
  The role proactively understands end-to-end business processes, identifies opportunities to simplify, digitalise and automate manual workflows, and independently recommends, designs and implements solutions using business applications, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). The incumbent works closely with Department Managers to improve operational efficiency and user experience, while aligning local initiatives with Headquarters and regional Digital Transformation (DX) priorities.
  
  【Responsibilities】
  
  1. Business Partnership & Digital Transformation
  - Partner with Department Managers and business users to understand end-to-end operational processes.
  - Conduct As-Is and To-Be business process analysis, identify process gaps, and recommend digital transformation initiatives.
  - Identify automation opportunities and recommend AI, RPA, or business application solutions.
  - Gather business requirements and prepare solution proposals based on operational needs.
  
  2. Business Application Development
  - Design, develop, enhance, and maintain internal business applications supporting various business functions.
  - Develop system integrations, REST APIs, and backend services using appropriate technologies.
  - Maintain databases, SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimise application performance.
  
  3. AI & Intelligent Automation
  - Design and implement AI-powered solutions using technologies such as OpenAI, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or AI Builder.
  - Develop and maintain RPA solutions using Power Automate, UiPath, or similar automation platforms.
  - Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable business applications and use cases.
  
  4. Digital Transformation Project Management
  - Lead digital transformation initiatives from opportunity identification and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review.
  - Coordinate Proof of Concept (POC), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), pilot implementations, and production rollouts.
  - Monitor project progress, risks, and stakeholder expectations to support successful project delivery.
  
  5. Regional Collaboration
  - Collaborate with the headquarters in Japan, the Asia DX team, and regional subsidiaries to implement regional digital transformation initiatives and adopt best practices.
  - Represent local business requirements in regional digital transformation discussions.
  
  6. Application Support & Continuous Improvement
  - Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues through root cause analysis.
  - Maintain technical documentation, system standards, and version control.
  - Conduct user training and continuously identify opportunities to improve business processes and system effectiveness.
