  • Job Description

    One of our clients, a Japanese IT Development firm in the finance industry, is seeking a Project Management Officer. This role involves projects related to Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Derivatives, Bonds, GIRO, FAST, MEPS, and Cross-Border payments.

    【Responsibilities】
    - Liaising with Bank HO in Japan members via e-mail and online meetings in Japanese.
    - Discussing every concern regarding the project with the Japanese Project Manager.
    - Supporting the Project Manager with creating documents, facilitating sessions, and so on.
    - Supporting the management of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through design, technical construction, testing, acceptance, training, documentation, and implementation, in accordance with the Project Management Process and Methodology.
    - Understanding of business requirements, system architecture, and system design.
    - Fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability, ensuring strong cross-functional teamwork and alignment with project goals and objectives

Qualifications

    【Requirements & Preferences】

    (Must)
    - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification
    - Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent proficiency) to communicate with Head Office members in Japan via email and online meetings, and to discuss project-related matters with the Japanese Project Manager
    - At least 4 years of relevant working experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role within an IT environment
    - Good understanding of banking operations, including loans, deposits, accounting, customer information systems, as well as banking systems and IT

    (Advantageous)
    - Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment
    - Experience working with banks or organisations within the financial services industry
