    Our Client is a reputable bank currently seeking an Assistant Manager, Accounting & Regulatory Reporting. The role of Assistant Manager, Accounting & Regulatory Reporting in a Singapore-based bank encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, particularly in financial accounting and compliance with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations.

    【Responsibilities】
    - Review of journal entries and accounting transactions
    - Preparation of financial statements (P/L, B/S, C/F)
    -Drafting and validation of footnotes to financial statements
    -When necessary, organizing technical issues, making accounting judgment calls, and seeking external expert advice
    - Liaising and coordinating with external auditors and other stakeholders
    - Identifying bottlenecks and proposing internal control improvements or alternative solutions
    - Analysis and resolution of issues raised in external audits
    - Analysis and resolution of issues raised in external audits
    - Examination of general ledger (GL) balances and identification of anomalies
    - Review of fund transfers and proper booking of entries; daily reconciliation of liquidity and funding positions
    - Daily reconciliation of balances in bank accounts, loans, and deposits
    - Preparation of internal daily reports (including liquidity risk monitoring, etc.)
    - Maintenance of supporting schedules and account-level documentation
    - Preparation, review, and scheduling of MAS regulatory reports
    - Collaboration with the Risk Department on ECL provisioning and related calculations
    - First point of contact in external audits: managing audit timelines, preparing requested documents, responding to queries
    - Initiatives to streamline and automate MAS reporting and financial closing processes
    - Periodic review and maintenance of operations manuals and internal policies

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【 Requirement & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or professional credentials (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, SCA, US CPA) highly desirable.
    - Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial closing, including at least 3 years of practical experience in MAS regulatory reporting.
    - Deep knowledge of SFRS and IFRS, with demonstrated ability to independently prepare full financial statements and footnotes, lead monthly/quarterly/annual closings, and draft/revise accounting policies based on standard changes.
    - Proven experience managing full lifecycle of MAS regulatory reports including MAS 610, 649, 640, 757/758, BA Sec 35 BIS, surveys, and ad‑hoc returns (stress tests, thematic reviews), ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
    - Strong operational accounting skills: daily controls (journal and GL reviews, liquidity reconciliations), preparation of P/L, B/S, C/F, support schedules, ECL provisioning under FRS 109, and tax computations.
    - Experience serving as primary external audit liaison, managing audit timelines, documentation, queries, coordinating technical accounting discussions, and driving resolution.
    - Track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements (such as template standardization, automation, and data‑base integration) to reduce manual workloads and eliminate bottlenecks.

    (Preferably)
    - Audit firm experience, especially involving financial services clients, is a plus.
    - Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills—able to serve as a strategic advisor to leaders and coach junior team members.
    - Capability to support future automation projects and system enhancements, contributing to robust data analytics and reporting infrastructure
