    Our client is the regional office of a leading Japanese company specializing in advanced materials for the semiconductor, electronics, and automotive industries. They provide high-performance materials, components, and technical solutions across these sectors. The Singapore office serves as a hub for procurement, logistics, and regional coordination.

    This position is responsible for creating sourcing strategic in all categories including Facilities, IT, Repair & Maintenance, equipment, parts, etc. and ensure contracture agreements deliver optimized cost, terms, quality and service.

    They are currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer to join their team.
    Report to: Purchasing Manage

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Source and develop alternate potential suppliers to mitigate supply risk upon receive the RFQ from internal customers.
    - Focus on reducing cost /minimize price increase without compromising quality and compliance.
    - Review the terms in Quotation/Contract and negotiate the best to the interest of company.
    - Resolve the problems related to goods supply including cargo damages, shipment delay or early landed, payment issue verification with Accounting Department. within his/her level.
    - Conduct supplier audit and supplier performance review periodically to ensure comply with rules.
    - Drafting contract/fine tuning with supplier for Manager decision, where applicable.
    - Process daily PO, follow-up for confirmation, including order amendment, co-ordinate for spec./drawing change by internal customers, also ensure comply with Purchase protocol
    - Prepare summary report, any other ac-hot request as assigned

    【Requirements & Preferences】
    (Must)
    - Degree or higher in a technical or engineering-related discipline
    - Minimum 6 years of relevant purchasing experience in a multinational company, preferably in the electronics industry
    - Team lead experience is a MUST
    - Proven track record in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, and delivery
    - Hands-on collaboration with engineers and auditors as well as quality teams to resolve technical and compliance-related matters
    - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP)
    - Demonstrated stable employment history (minimum 2–3 years per company)
    - Proficient in Mandarin and English, both writing and speaking, in order to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders

    (Advantageous)
    - Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment would be an advantage
