    Our client is the regional office of a leading Japanese company specializing in advanced materials for the semiconductor, electronics, and automotive industries. They provide high-performance materials, components, and technical solutions across these sectors. The Singapore office serves as a hub for procurement, logistics, and regional coordination.

    They are currently seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer to join their team.

    This position is responsible for indirect procurement activities, including sourcing for facilities, IT, equipment, and maintenance services. The role focuses on achieving cost efficiency, ensuring supplier reliability, and maintaining full compliance with internal policies. It plays a key role in supporting and enabling business operations across the region.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Supplier Management & Risk Control: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure compliance with internal standards.
    - Cost & Risk Analysis: Monitor pricing trends and analyze supply risks to support cost optimization and business continuity.
    - Quotation & Contract Management: Review quotations, negotiate terms, and prepare contracts in line with company policies and requirements.
    - Issue Resolution: Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues related to shipments, payments, or product quality.
    - Supplier Evaluation: Conduct regular audits and performance assessments to ensure supplier compliance and service quality.
    - Purchase Order Processing: Manage the full cycle of purchase orders—including issuance, confirmation, amendments, and specification changes—in coordination with internal teams.
    - Reporting & Administration: Prepare procurement-related reports and support management with ad-hoc tasks and documentation.
    - Strategic Procurement Support: Provide data and insights to support the development of sourcing strategies and procurement planning.
    - Collaboration & Team Support: Work closely with internal stakeholders, contribute to team development, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    【Requirements & Preferences】

    (Must):
    - Diploma or higher in a technical or engineering-related discipline
    - At least 5 years of relevant purchasing experience in a multinational company, preferably within the electronics industry
    - Proven track record in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, and delivery
    - Experience working closely with engineers and quality teams to resolve technical and compliance-related matters
    - Meticulous and proactive, with strong risk-identification and problem-prevention skills

    (Advantageous):
    - Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
    - Experience working in a Japanese corporate environment would be an advantage
