Our client, a Japanese chemical manufacturing company, is currently seeking an Admin Officer (Translator & Interpreter).The primary responsibility is to facilitate effective communication between Japanese and English-speaking (and vice versa) staff members/associate company/external visitors/vendors within the manufacturing plant and/or the organization. The role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a harmonious working environment.【Responsibilities】1. Cross-Cultural Communication- Act as a bridge between Japanese and English-speaking personnel to facilitate clear and effective communication.- Guide cultural differences, business etiquette, and workplace practices.- Promote a positive and inclusive multicultural work environment.2. Documentation Support- Create, translate, proofread, and maintain bilingual documents, including:a. Production reportsb. Safety guidelinesc. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)d. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all documentation.3. Collaboration Support- Work closely with internal and external departments, including:a. Productionb. Technicalc. QESHd. Finance & Costinge. Management- Provide interpretation and coordination support during meetings and cross-functional projects.4. Language Support- Provide language assistance and conduct basic language lessons:a. English lessons for Japanese employeesb. Japanese lessons for English-speaking employees- Assist with daily workplace communication and correspondence.5. Administration Support- Manage and maintain data using Excel spreadsheets.- Support 5S activities in the Administration Building.- Assist in organizing recreational activities and company events.- Provide general reception support.- Perform additional administrative duties when translation/interpretation activities are minimal.
