Our client, a leading marine MNC specializing in transportation services, is currently seeking a Vessel Accounting Associate to join their team!You will be mainly supporting our group company and third-party vessel owners by managing and verifying all accounting expenses for assigned vessels. Additionally, you are expected to maintain an accurate financial records in compliance with internal policies and external regulations to ensure smooth operations and regulatory adherence.You will be reporting to the Leader/Senior Associate【Responsibilities】Operational Accounting- Verify and ensure all vessel expenses are supported by proper documentation.- Check and validate that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, compliant with policies and regulations, and processed on time.- Review and post journal entries for vessel accounts.- Prepare monthly vessel reports for TM Shipmanagement and third-party owners.- Prepare payments for assigned currencies and handle ad hoc payments as required.- Check and process staff claims accurately and promptly.Stakeholder ManagementInternal- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve any vessel expense discrepancies.- Coordinate with the Group Finance and Ship Management Department on accounting matters.- Work with IT and Admin teams to resolve system or operational issues when needed.External- Liaise with accounting software consultants to troubleshoot issues and implement system updates.- Prepare and submit third-party reports in the capacity of Ship Manager.
