Job Description
Our Client is a Japanese Company involved in the crude oil catering business. The main role of an Assistant Manager (LNG Commercial & Asset Management) is to manage contracts.
You will be reporting to the Director / Deputy General Manager.
【 What you will be doing 】
- Administer project budgets with the ship managers:
- Interact/liaise with the master, charterers, finance & accounting team, and technical & commercial team:
- Provide operational input/output for contractual compliance matters:
- Assist the Deputy General Manager during crisis management situations:
- Deputize for Deputy General Manager when on holiday or away on business trips
- Represent the company at owners, charterers, and Industry events
- Ensure effective governance and compliance of all contracts relevant to the fleet
- Time charter parties and shipbuilding contracts
- Ship-management agreement:
- Insurance Policies (H&M, Loss of Hire, War and P&I)
- Liaise with charterers and address any potential off-hire events until reconciliation if any
- Review and address any performance claims under the time charter parties
- Keep all stakeholders fully updated on the progress of any disputes
- Ensure vigorous control and review OPEX
- Review expenditure requests over the approved budget
- Prepare quarterly/year-end OPEX reports with variance analysis for internal review
- Review annual OPEX and dry dock budgets, seeking necessary approvals
- Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders
- Required documents under the relevant contract in connection with the vessel(s) in charge
- Review monthly OPEX reports and variance analysis submitted by ship managers
- Prepare/ organize director and shareholder meeting materials

Requirement

<Must>
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in maritime or business
- At least 3-5 years of experience working in tanker shipping commercial operations /LNG carrier business
- Understanding of the LNG market and tanker shipping commercial operations.
<Preferable>
- Familiarity with tanker time charter/ shipbuilding contractual terms and associated commercial agreements.
- Ability to read basic financial statements.
- Ex-Mariner with LNG/Tanker experience
- Claims handling (Insurance, charter party disputes, etc.)English Level
