Job Description
Our client, a renowned Japanese restaurant, is seeking a Merchandise & Sales Support Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Japanese Speaking) for an expansion and continuous business needs.As part of the Merchandise & Sales Support team, you will play a key role in supporting product planning, sales operations, and supply chain activities. This position works closely with Japan HQ, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth product development, inventory control, and sales execution.【 Responsibilities 】Product Planning & Development- Lead product planning and development for both new launches and existing items- Create and refine recipes, and translate related product materials- Maintain and manage SKU information, including cost calculation and cost controlSales & Inventory Analysis- Analyze sales performance and store inventory data- Monitor stock levels across stores and identify risks of overstock or shortages- Plan and execute inventory clearance initiatives- Prepare monthly sales analysis reports to support promotional planning and demand forecasting- Review monthly usage of grand menu items and provide recommendationsPurchasing & Supply Management- Handle purchasing activities, including preparation of purchase orders- Make quantity and timing decisions for purchasing based on sales trends and inventory status- Manage suppliers, including negotiations, pricing discussions, and ongoing performance reviews- Provide feedback to suppliers and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationshipsCross-Functional & HQ Coordination- Conduct daily coordination with Japan HQ (Japanese language communication required)- Work closely with internal teams in the Singapore office, including sales, operations, and logistic
