    Our client specializes in producing a wide range of products for the food industry, including oil, noodles, dairy products, and more within the ASEAN region. They are seeking an Assistant Manager, Food Technologist to lead the research and development of emulsifier applications for bread and bakery products.

    This role involves overseeing formulation development, product improvement, and on-site technical support, while providing leadership and guidance to junior team members. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and clients to drive product innovation and ensure high-quality results.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Lead the development and improvement of bakery improvers, formulations, and applications, with a focus on emulsifiers for bread products.
    - Conduct baking trials and comparison tests to evaluate emulsifier performance.
    - Provide technical troubleshooting and on-site support to customers and internal teams.
    - Collaborate with the Sales and Application teams to deliver customized technical solutions that meet client requirements.
    - Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative product concepts.
    - Design and execute shelf-life and sensory evaluations to ensure product stability and quality.
    - Ensure all new and existing products comply with regulatory and food safety standards.
    - Prepare and present new product concepts to customers and conduct live baking demonstrations during seminars and events.
    - Supervise and mentor junior technologists, providing technical guidance and leadership.
    - Maintain accurate documentation of R&D activities, test results, and project progress.
    - Uphold hygiene, safety, and quality standards within the lab and production areas.

    【Requirements & Preferences】
    (Must)
    - Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
    - Minimum 5 years of R&D hands-on experience in flour milling, bakery/bread, or related ingredient industries.
    - Experience in leading and guiding a team of 2-3 food technologists
    - Strong technical knowledge in bread formulation, food improvers, and emulsifier applications.
    - Familiar with manufacturing, sampling, and sensory evaluation processes.
    - Comfortable with handling non-halal products and ingredients
    - Comfortable with long-standing hours, attending events, and traveling overseas when required (depending on projects requirements)
