Our client operates one of the largest apparel-focused e-commerce apps in Japan. As they establish a new start-up in Singapore, they are seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager (Japanese Speaking), with the title depending on the candidate's level of experience. This role will report directly to the Managing Director in Singapore and to the CFO at the Japan headquarters.【Responsibilities】- Support the accounting team across all accounting, finance, and operations aspects.- Maintain Singapore accounting and operation policies and processes.- Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, identify key risk areas, and report findings to the Singapore controller.- Assist with internal and external audits.- Track records and collaborate with the local tax team to file tax documents.- Document new procedures based on changes in regulatory laws.- Create and maintain internal controls and financial policies to maximize efficiency and streamline processes.- Conduct financial analysis, monitor platform transaction metrics, and present data clearly to top management.- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile all financial accounts, including daily trade reconciliations on the exchange platform.- Manage payments and oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.- Collaborate with other departments to understand their business activities and integrate financial insights.- Contribute to various financial tasks, including generating invoices, preparing supporting documents for group audits, and working with external accountants.- Assist with ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
