    Our client is a well-established global financial group with a strong presence across Asia-Pacific, focusing on long-term strategic investments and sustainable business growth.

    They are currently seeking a Vice President – Strategic Investments, Asia-Pacific to originate, evaluate, and execute regional investment opportunities. The successful candidate will be based in Singapore, with an initial one- to two-year assignment in Tokyo before returning to Singapore to take on greater ownership of regional investment activities.

    【 Responsibilities 】
    - Originate and develop strategic investment and business partnership opportunities across Asia-Pacific.
    - Assess strategic fit, commercial attractiveness and investment rationale.
    - Conduct financial modelling, projections and valuation analyses.
    - Lead due diligence, transaction structuring and coordination with external advisers.
    - Identify potential synergies with existing group businesses.
    - Participate in negotiations and transaction execution through signing and closing.
    - Prepare Investment Committee and senior management materials and support internal approval processes with the Tokyo headquarters.
    - Support post-investment governance, monitoring and long-term value creation.
    - Develop sector intelligence, market networks and regional connectivity.
    - Maintain close communication with the Tokyo team throughout the investment lifecycle and take increasing ownership of regional investment activities over time.

Qualifications

    【 Requirements & Preferences 】

    (Must)
    - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
    - Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in private equity (buy-side), investment firms (buy-side), corporate development (in-house), or Big 4 firms, with hands-on experience in corporate finance, valuation, and due diligence.
    - Strong financial modelling, financial analysis, and valuation skills.
    - Relevant experience in M&A or strategic investments, including cross-border transactions.
    - Strong commercial judgement, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work independently.
    - Entrepreneurial and business development mindset, with the ability to identify and originate investment opportunities.
    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and seniority levels.
    - Genuine interest in long-term strategic investment and business development.
    - Willingness and ability to relocate to Tokyo for approximately one to two years before returning to Singapore.

    - Annual leave: 18 days, increasing up to a maximum of 28 days depending on years of service (applicable after probation). During the Tokyo assignment, the Japan-side annual leave policy will apply.
