Job Description
Our client is a vertically-integrated marine services company that operates a fleet of over 180 vessels and owns major shipyards in Singapore and Batam (Indonesia). They are seeking a Safety Coordinator on an urgent 6-month contract basis to support workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance across marine and offshore operations. The successful candidate will assist in implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, monitoring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.
This is a project-based contract position and is not renewable beyond the stated contract period.

Contract Period: 1st July 2026 – December 2026
Reporting To: HSE Manager / Project Manager
【Responsibilities】
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and site observations to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and permit-to-work activities.
- Monitor compliance with company safety requirements and statutory regulations.
- Assist in investigating incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare relevant reports.
- Maintain safety records, reports, inspection checklists, and documentation.
- Coordinate and participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety awareness campaigns.
- Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders on safety-related matters.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
- Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by management.

【Requirements & Preferences】
(Must)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), within marine, offshore, or shipyard
- Possess a valid Workplace Safety and Health qualification, such as:
a. Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC) Certificate; or
b. Other equivalent WSH certification recognized in Singapore.
- Familiar with Singapore WSH regulations and safety management systems.
- Able to commence work on 1st July 2026English Level
