    Our client is a subsidiary of a global company based in Japan that trades semiconductor parts and materials as well as electronic components. They are currently recruiting a Sales Assistant Manager / Manager (Japanese Speaking)

    You will be reporting to the Managing Director.

    【What you will be working on】
    - Developing relationships with clients and seeking new opportunities with existing accounts. (Majorities are Japanese Companies - 50% )
    - Promote our products to prospective customers (especially US or European-oriented companies which have a design/sourcing team in Singapore or ASEAN countries - 50%)
    - To make an appointment with new customers and existing customers.
    - Provide quotations to customers and distributors in ASEAN, Oceania and India and do the necessary follow-up to secure POs.
    - Managing distributors and maintaining good relationships with them
    - Handling both local and ASEAN markets and Traveling to ASEAN countries as and when required (0- 2 times/month).
    - Liaise with the Japan/China side on sales, quality, and other issues.
    - Issue job orders to the factory side (Environmental issues, conduct a mineral survey, check custom-made quotations, and attend to other research/survey/report requests.
    - Scheduling management with 2 sales coordinators
    - Handle customer's claims/requests on quality issues (issue failure analysis requests)
    - Attend to distributors questions.
    - Providing and maintaining quality service in compliance with organization standards.
    - Forecasting and setting sales targets to meet corporate objectives.
    - Business trip will be required (0 - 2 times/month)
    - Prepare sales tools, and presentations as necessary.
    - Take care of critical delivery issues as necessary together with the sales coordinator team
    - Prepare a weekly sales report and the following week's action plan for MD and any other person the Company determines.
    - Prepare/plan annual/half-year sales budget together with MD
    - Do proper filing of all the documents (including quotations, Job Orders and reports)
    - Perform any other duties assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Requirement

    <Must>
    - Possess a working record of more than 5 years in a company before
    - Fluent in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 and above) Listening/Writing/Speaking is essential for communicating with clients and partners.
    - Possess driver's license.
    - Able to travel to ASEAN countries as and when required
    - Adapt and work well under pressure in a dynamic team and fast-paced environment.

    <Preferred>
    - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics is preferred
    - As this role requires exploring a new market in the US/UK, candidates with sales experience from MNC firms like HP, Philips, and Honeywell relevant industries and sales markets are preferred.
    - Prefer 5 years of experience in electronic products or similar
