  • Job Description

    Our client is a Japanese global company that specializes in chemicals and electronics. The role of the Assistant IT Manager is to manage the IT department to ensure day-to-day operations are optimized and suggest continuous improvement for better efficiency.

    Reports to the Director

    【 What you will be doing 】
    - Proposing IT solutions to deliver continuous improvement & efficiency to the office business environment.
    - Monitor all the network devices, services, and servers to ensure availability.
    - Conduct training for employees on group IT security policies and good practices.
    - Maintain, upgrade and monitor the company network (firewall, WIFI, switches & VPN) with vendors.
    - Install, configure, troubleshoot and support ongoing usability of computers, mobile devices
    - Prepare and maintain the records of incidents, software licenses and other IT assets inventory.
    - Ensure availability of IT infrastructure services to users including Office 365, Windows Server, active directory, Teams, print server, and mail server.
    - Procure IT hardware & software, maintain IT inventory report and propose replenishment (laptop, desktop, mobile phone, software licenses etc)
    - Liaise with business departments concerning common IT requirements
    - Cooperation with the IT Department at the Head Office in Japan
    - Application of the Group's IT strategy/ governance/security policy
    - Support ZOHO system for inhouse users (around 100-120 users)
    - Support IT inquiries from users
    - Work with vendors to investigate IT failures and ensure maintenance support
    - Provide educational content and training to comply with head office regulations
    - Site network infrastructure (base networks, video conferencing systems, etc.)
    - Management of the video conferencing system
    - In charge of other office IT systems (Entrance management, CCTV, conference facilities, etc)

Qualifications

  • Requirement


    【 What they are looking for 】
    (Must)
    - Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems
    - 3 years in office automation (Business support infrastructure such as Microsoft 365, PC, iPhone, multifunction machines, and base network)
    - 3 years in managing service desk and other IT user support
    - 2 years in cyber security, incident response
    - Able to propose appropriate solutions and methodologies and promote them independently
    - Experience in Java, Python or R language (either one) is required
    - Good project management skills and a strong ability to prioritize tasks.
    - Familiar with developments in business IT technology
    - Experience in documentation of systems, processes, policies, and procedures.

    (Preference)
    - Ability to start within 1 month notice or earlier
    - Experience in Power Automate, Power BI, ZOHO Creator etc. is ideal as this role required to support and maintain the system on a daily basis
    - Experience working in a Japanese company
