Job Description • URGENT SHIPMENTS - To book earliest available flight with planners and coordinate with VOP (Vendors on Premises) so that collection of cargo is done at the soonest possible time to ensure shipment is uplifted as planned, meeting the customer's required timeframe.
• NORMAL SHIPMENTS - book shipment with planners, create work file, coordinate with Vendor on Premise, warehouse, operation team, permit team and shipper for certain requirements or for those that need clarification. An estimated 50-100 shipments during regular days. Volume of shipments may double or triple during month end, quarter end and year end where customer service is required to standby until 2359 hours or beyond in order to accommodate all shipments.
• PERMIT- submission of accurate information in the customs declaration portal and attaching the correct documents for permit team to declare the permit with no errors ensuring both customer service and permit team achieve 100% Advanced Export Declaration (AED) compliance.
• Liaise with destination station and internal team on various issues which may arise from collection of cargo until delivery to consignee's door.
• PROBLEM SOLVING – closely monitor irregularities cargo with different parties based on the type of discrepancies happened; such as dam cargo, unallocated, missing cargo and cross shipment.
• Prepare daily reports to updates flight info for different customer; permit report to perform AED compliance to customer; STS (strategy trade scheme) shipments report to control strategic goods shipment with correct export permit perform before goods export out; daily flight onboard reports to ensure shipments uplifted without offload.
• SHIPPER COPY – to prepared HAWB (House Air Way Bill) and export permits every week; segregate by different business unit with Air Way Bill numbers keyed in before couriering to customers. Estimated volume per weeks at around 400 –500 during regular time, volumes would be double up during month end season or triple up on quarter end and year-end peak season.
