Our Client is a leading global supplier of logistics services. The role of an APAC Procurement GM Freight Forwarding is to be responsible for developing the organization of ocean cargo procurement which centralizes the carrier negotiation of HTS group companies in the region to secure the vessel space with competitive cost,【 What you will be doing 】- To set the purchasing strategy which contributes to the group’s sustainable growth based on a deep understanding of the group companies’ direction and market situation etc.- In consultation with the Director of the FWDHQ, design the organization of ocean cargo procurement which centralizes the carrier negotiation of group companies in the region to secure the vessel space with competitive cost- Design the operational process to achieve the above-mentioned targets- Recruit a few numbers (when necessary and appropriate) of adequate talents and organize the team- Lead the communication and negotiation with carriers to maximize the benefit of centralized negotiation with carriers- Liaise with counterparts in a group of companies- Review, improve and standardize work processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Headquarters meeting ISO standard,- Review and delegate job tasks to ensure staff is working efficiently- Evaluate & appraise subordinate’s work performance for management review- Annual budget and mid-term plan making for procurement activity, and monthly monitoring of the performance- Analyze ocean freight market, customer trends and handling the volume of group etc. to effectively update the region-wide strategy and suggest it to the management- Any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Headquarters.
