  • Job Description

    Our client is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic products, and they are looking for a Sales Engineer (VSD) who will be responsible for the development of consultant relationships in the assigned areas and the accounts.
    Reporting to: Sales Manager

    【 What you will be doing 】
    - Establish new customer relationships and expand existing customer base to drive and achieve sales targets of Drive & Automation products in the assigned market segment
    - Responsible for the development of consultant relationships in the assigned areas and the accounts
    - Develop sales strategies and implement sales plans to achieve sales targets and profit margins
    - Provide technical recommendations and create technical proposals; follow up with consultants on the business opportunities
    - Secure new customers, maintain and develop new revenue streams from existing accounts
    - Prepare tender bids, issue quotations, follow up tender awards with contractors and monitor closely till sales closure
    - Work with customer service and operations to ensure delivery following datelines and customer satisfaction are met
    - Gather market information on customer’s activities; develop sales plan & submit pipeline forecast, sales progress and consultants visit report plans to Sales Manager
    - Provide technical training support and participate in marketing activities like seminars and exhibitions
    - Must be ready to travel overseas on business needs

Qualifications

    【 What they are looking for 】
    - Possess a technical background in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
    - At least 2-3 years of related regional sales experience in a similar industry with which minimum of 3 years in handling Low Voltage Variable Speed Drive (VSD)
    - Prior experience in Low Voltage VSD is a must
    - Excellent project management skills
    - Proven sales record of accomplishment in VSD in the HVAC/Water industry is a plus
    - Willing to travel as per business requirement (once per month, and will gradually increase as per business needs and experience)
