Our client is a Japanese information system company specialized in the provision of outsourcing services using information technology. The role of Business Analyst/Project Manager - Treasury & Capital Markets (Japanese Language) is to focus on project planning, requirement gathering, and gap analyses between the new system and business requirements for the in-house core banking and supporting system.
【What you will be doing】
・Work with various IT teams and overseas bank branch business users to gather new system and business requirements to accommodate financial products and services, which will impact the in-house core banking and supporting system.
・Initiate gap analyses between the new system and business requirements with the system functions in the existing system (AS-IS) and come up with appropriate (TO-BE) solution recommendations.
・Facilitation of project workshops, weekly meetings and project tollgate/checkpoint meetings by engaging project stakeholders.
・Lay out project plans with task assignments and activities by project phase.
・Keep track of action/follow-up items, risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and change in requirements and periodic reporting. ・Documentation of the project minutes of meetings.
・Ensure project phase level deliverables to be documented, reviewed and approved by stakeholders.
・Become an effective “bridge” between users and technology.
・Adhere banks project management tools, processes and practices.
【What they are looking for】
・Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a business analyst/project manager in the banking industry focusing on treasury and capital market products and services is highly preferable.
・In-depth knowledge on financial instrument products lifecycle such as money, bond, equity and derivatives and accounting basic knowledge.
・Experience in working/managing IT and business stakeholders.
・Clear understanding of IT project management and software development lifecycle (SDLC) and process and procedures.
・Business-level Japanese language (JLPT N2) skill is required for communicating with stakeholders in Japan.
・Ability to prepare of project phase level deliverables as per bank standards.
・Must be organized, able to work with minimal supervision, manage project and tasks in a timely manner.
・Good working knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
